HELMET
CARE

Keeping a helmet looking like new is easy.
You only need to take into account these simple tips:

HELMET
EXTERIOR

Helmet exterior
In order to clean and protect the paint and varnish of the helmet, use only neutral soap and cotton cloth or non-abrasive fabric.

Screen
In order for the screen to conserve all of its optical features, it should be cleaned with non-abrasive products. When cleaning, use only soapy water and a soft cloth or a cotton ball. Never clean the screen with abrasive cleaning products which contain alcohol or solvents. Window cleaning products should never be used as they deteriorate and erode screen clarity.

Interior padding
The interior of your helmet should be washed regularly to maintain a clean and comfortable fit at all times. One good option is to utilise a replacement interior while you wash the original.

Helmet-screen closing joint
The closing joint should be cleaned with a cloth and soapy water as it tends to accumulate dirt and grime. Furthermore, the joint should be lubricated regularly with petroleum jelly in order to function properly and avoid drying out.

Screen movement system and vents
Apply (when necessary) a small amount of petroleum jelly on the screen joint and on the vents to provide smoother operation.

PRACTICAL ADVICES

It is logical to expect a quality helmet, manufactured to withstand a strong impact, receiving damage to the exterior and or interior lining after an impact. This damage may not be visible to the naked eye. Therefore, we recommend changing helmets if you have experienced any kind of fall while wearing it, regardless of the degree of impact.

If the helmet’s interior is damp, do not dry it with a hair dryer. This can weaken the shock-absorbing material. It is recommended to simply let the helmet air-dry.

Although the helmet has been manufactured to withstand significant impact, it should be handled with care. Placing it on hard and rough surfaces can damage the paint and the aesthetics of the helmet.

Keep it in its bag and in a place protected from the sun and humidity.

Exercise care when choosing where to leave the helmet; do not place it near heat sources such as exhaust pipes.

Always use original replacement pieces when substituting parts of the helmet.
